This section presents ten difficulties in a structure similar to section twelve. It is difficult to give while poor; difficult to study the Way in a position of wealth and power; difficult to face death resolutely; difficult to encounter the Buddhist scriptures; difficult to be born in the age of a buddha; difficult to endure sensual desire; difficult to see good things and not crave them; difficult to endure insult without anger; difficult to have power and not dominate others; and difficult to remain undisturbed regardless of what arises (觸事無心). Each item becomes a mirror reflecting the practitioner's inner life.
