A monk asks what is good and what is greatest.

A monk asks what is good and what is greatest. The Buddha answers concisely: practicing the Way and upholding truth is good; the one whose resolve is in accord with the Way is greatest. Goodness is not grand action but moment-to-moment following of the Way and abiding in truth. Greatness arises from the alignment (一致) of one's will with the Way.
