When an evil person provokes, do not become angry. The evil brought belongs to the one who carries it.

Section six addresses how to respond when an evil person, hearing of goodness, deliberately comes to cause disturbance. The Buddha says concisely: restrain yourself, cease your reaction, and do not be angry or reproachful. The one who brings evil — that evil is their own. This is both a teaching on forbearance (忍辱) and an expression of the truth of karma: the consequences of evil return to those who create them.
