Translation: ESV

Balaam's first oracle becomes a blessing rather than a curse. This is a shock to Balak, but Balaam had no choice. 19

God is not man, that he should lie, or a son of man, that he should change his mind. Has he said, and will he not do it? Or has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it?

Key Message

God does not lie and without regret carries out everything he has spoken. This faithfulness of God is the rock of our faith.
