Remember, O LORD, in David's favor, all the hardships he endured,
God remembers humble toil and dedication for him and responds with covenant.

The LORD swore to David a sure oath from which he will not turn back: "One of the sons of your body I will set on your throne."
The Davidic covenant is based on God's oath, and that oath is completely fulfilled through Jesus the Messiah.

There I will make a horn to sprout for David; I have prepared a lamp for my anointed.
God's promise to cause a horn (power) to sprout from David's descendant has been fulfilled in Jesus Christ.
